Morning coffee as producers of a live travel show

For our first morning in Athens, we decided to go for a stroll through some historic streets and grab ourselves some coffees to set the mood for the day. The coffee was expertly poured by my partner in crime, and had a strong and potent flavour that we both really liked.

Updating to macOS Sequoia 15.4.1 on an unsupported Mac

After putting off the process for a few days, I successfully completed the system update to macOS Sequoia 15.4.1 this morning on an unsupported 2017 iMac.

Before proceeding with the upgrade, I updated to the latest version of the OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher (OCLP) version 2.3.2 (at the time of writing) and rebooted the iMac to make sure everything was in working order.

Charged by Beats, epic juicing for your devices

It’s not easy taking a product like a USB-C charging cable and making it extremely cool and whimsy. Yet somehow, Apple has created an electrifying buzz around its new woven cables under its iconic Beats brand.

Right off-the-bat, these remarkable new cables are available in four stunning colour options: Bolt Black, Surge Stone, Nitro Navy and Rapid Red.

Updates: iOS 18.4.1, iPadOS 18.4.1, macOS 15.4.1, tvOS 18.4.1, visionOS 2.4.1

Apple released updates for most of their operating systems yesterday with bug fixes and critical security updates.

The new releases are:

  • iOS 18.4.1
  • iPadOS 18.4.1
  • macOS Sequoia 15.4.1
  • tvOS 18.4.1
  • visionOS 2.4.1

These updates should be installed immediately, as there is credible evidence that threat actors are actively exploiting these vulnerabilities in the wild.

How Amit Daryanan stopped me losing hundreds of millions of dollars

“This is a major relief for Apple,” noted Evercore ISI analyst Amit Daryanani after it was announced Trump’s tariffing of Chinese exports into America at 145% would not apply to smartphones, computers, and semiconductors.

Now to preface this… I bought into the notion that tariffs are a great thing for America. I believed they would boost consumer-confidence, protect domestic industries, and level the playing field by countering unfair trade policies enacted by China. I thought Apple would be massive winners from all this, despite manufacturing a few bits and bobs over in China.

Justin Rose looks set as the immovable object ahead of Moving Day at Augusta

As the Augusta Masters heads into its sacred “Day of Moving” on Saturday, a strong contingent of competitors are facing the golfing equivalent of “Mission Impossible”.

Dare if any of these mere mortals might - look up and they’ll see the name Justin Rose almost engraved in the top spot of the leaderboard. He’s been sitting here since Thursday afternoon, the day this prestigious golfing festival got started for reals.

Rose carries a one shot lead over Justin DeChambeau, while Rory McIlroy lingers a further stroke back. Elsewhere, the defending champion Scottie Scheffler has three shots to make up after failing to close the gap.
